Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is the national level exam which is organized four times in a year - February, May, September and December to take admission in Master Business Administration, Post Graduate Diploma Management (PGDM) and various Management programs. Moreover, the marks scored in this test help the applicant to take admissions in higher reputed schools of India. The Ministry HRD of India has approved MAT as a national level test in the year 2003.

Eligibility Criteria MAT 2020

To appear in the MAT Exam 2020, the applicant should meet the criteria of eligibility.

Age limit - no age limit for appearing in the MAT 2020

Educational Qualification - Any discipline graduates can apply. Students who are appearing in the final year exam also can apply. Professionals with work experience can also appear for the exam.

Nationality: Indian citizenship and foreign nationals also can appear for MAT 2020

Admit Card

Registered applicants can download admit card from the website As the admit card is the entry for the exam and it consists of form number, roll number, test date and name of the applicant. They have to rigorously adhere to the time and date allotted in the case of the computer-based test.


Applicant can check and download the exam result from AIMA website, The marks obtained in this exam is valid for one year.


The applicant must be aware of the exam and marks distribution. 

Exam Duration - 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes)

Total Number of Question - 200

Total marks - 200

Exam Type - multiple-choice questions (MCQs)

Negative Marking - For every wrong answer there will be 0.25 marks deductions.

Exam Mode - MAT exam is computer-based and paper-based test. An applicant who is taking both CBT and PBT, have the benefit that they can select the institute from seven management institute in total rather than five.
