GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a national-level competitive examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). IIT conducts the GATE examination once a year. There are more than 1700 colleges all over India where you can take admitted for your master’s or doctorate in engineering. Around 10 lakh students appear for the Gate examination every year. Among these, only a few thousand will be able to qualify for this exam. So, the cruciality level of the GATE examination is quite high as compared to other competitive exams. A GATE scorecard is mandatory to get a job in many popular PSUs. This also increases the cruciality of this examination.

GATE 2024 Notification

Students can see the result of the GATE examination on the official website of GATE. Once the results are out you will get a notification from Spin on Education. But for this, you have to register yourself with us. Students also have the authority to raise objections to the deduction of unnecessary marks in the examination. They have to pay an additional 500 Rs for each objection. However, if the authority accepts your objection, then this fee will be refunded back to the candidate. Candidates can justify their objections by providing valid proof to the authority.

GATE is a national-level entrance exam and stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. For admission in doctoral and postgraduate courses administered by MHRD governing institutes and other government colleges like NITs, IITs, IISc, and GFTIs. On a rotational basis, this exam is conducted by seven IITs (Roorkee, Madras, Delhi, Bombay, Kanpur, Guwahati, and Kharagpur) and IISC (Indian Institute of Science) Bangalore on account of the NCB (National Coordination Board). GATE 2024 Exam is conducted by IIT Delhi. The score obtained in GATE 2024 is valid for 3 years from the date of the declaration of the results.

Furthermore, the GATE exam score is also used in several PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) like IOCL, NTPC, ONGC, BHEL, GAIL and etc. in their recruitment selection. In recent addition, the GATE score is also valid in the Cabinet Secretariat recruitment of candidates of Group “A” category for the post of Senior Field Officer (SFO) and SRO (Senior Research Officer).
