• Those who are going to apply for this exam must have a 10+2 (Intermediate) Exam certificate with 50% Marks with a Passed / Appearing 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• Students must have a 10+2 (Intermediate) Exam certificate with 50% Marks and B.E.l.Ed 4-Year Course OR
• 10+2 (Senior Secondary) Exam with 50% Marks and Diploma in Education (Spl) OR
• One should obtain Bachelor’s Degree with 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education

REET Rajasthan 2026 Junior Level Class VI to VIII Eligibility

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• Bachelor / Master’s Degree with 50% Marks with Passed / Appearing B.Ed Degree OR
• Bachelor’s Degree with 50% Marks and B.Ed. Spl Degree OR
• Senior Secondary with 50% Marks and B.A.Ed or B.Sc.Ed 4-Year Course

REET Exam Pattern 2026 (Level 1 & Level 2)

Before applying, you must understand the exam structure. REET is conducted for 150 Marks with no negative marking in the eligibility test.

• The “3-Year Rule”: If your OBC/EWS certificate is old (up to 3 years), you must attach a specific Affidavit during verification. Certificates older than 3 years are NOT accepted.
• Caste Certificate Date: Ideally, issue your certificate before the last date of the REET 2026 application form.

Is the REET Certificate valid for a lifetime?

Yes. As per the new government rules, the REET Eligibility Certificate is now valid for a lifetime. Once you clear the exam, you do not need to re-take it every 3 years to remain eligible for teacher recruitment.

What was the cut-off for REET Mains Level 1 in the last cycle?

In the previous recruitment cycle (2023), the final cut-off for the General (UR) category in REET Mains Level 1 was 186.91 Marks out of 300.

Is there negative marking in REET 2026?

It depends on the stage. There is NO negative marking in the REET Eligibility Test (Stage 1). However, the ‘Mains’ / 3rd Grade Teacher Recruitment Exam (Stage 2) has 1/3rd negative marking.
