The government has proposed to start 5 lakh new seats in vocational courses after 12th every year.

Both the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Union Government have announced plans to introduce vocational courses in schools to help students make informed career choices. But how will this scheme be implemented? The scheme was announced in the Union Budget for 2017-2018, but no further details were given. As per the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) website, this scheme to introduce these courses is still at the ideation stage.
