MAT Exam: Registration, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Pattern

MAT 2024 is a national-level test approved by Govt. of India, Ministry of Education in 2003. Candidates can apply to get admission to MBA and allied programmes.

This exam is conducted 4 times a year i.e., February, May, September, and December by AIMA (All India Management Association).

The main motto of this examination is to check the eligibility of the candidates to take admission to B-schools based on their MAT 2024 score.

MAT 2024 Exam Dates

MAT Exam 2024 will be conducted in four sessions in a year. Students applying for this exam must follow the table below, where we have covered each date in detail.

 

For PBT Exam:

Note: As per the official website, the MAT result for all the test modes will be announced by 2nd week of June 2024.

Syllabus of MAT 2024

  1. Mathematical Skills: Geometry, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Algebra, and Modern Maths.
  2. Indian & Global Environment: 40 questions from Current Affairs and static GK.
  3. Language Comprehension: One Word Substitution, Idioms/Phrases, Vocabulary, Fill in the blanks, Sentence Correction, Verb, Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Adverb, Antonyms & Synonyms, Para Jumble and Reading Comprehension.
  4. Intelligence & Critical Reasoning: Strong Arguments and Weak Arguments, Puzzles, Series, Blood Relations, Analytical and Logical Reasoning topics such as Family Tree, Course of Action, Arrangement, Pie Chart, Calendars, Statement Conclusions, Coding & Decoding, Visual Reasoning, Syllogisms and Graphs.
  5. Data Analysis & Data Sufficiency: Caselet, Pie Chart, Data Comparison, Quantitative Comparison, Line Graph, Bar Graph, and Data Sufficiency.

Eligibility Criteria MAT 2024

The applicant should meet the eligibility criteria to appear in the MAT Exam 2024.

  • Age limit– There is no age limit
  • Educational Qualification– Any discipline graduates can apply. Students who are appearing in the final year exam also can apply.
  • Nationality:Indian citizens and foreign nationals can appear.

MAT 2024 Exam Pattern

There are five sections each with thirty questions. There are 150 questions that have to be attempted within 120 minutes. Also, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

 

The time limit to complete this examination is quite low, so students must manage their time efficiently. The applicant must be aware of the exam and marks distribution.

MAT 2024 Admit Card

Registered applicants can download admit cards for IBT/PBT/CBT from MAT website i.e., https://mat.aima.in/. Remember that the admit card contains Form No, Roll No, Test Date, Candidate’s Name, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Students need to follow the date and time that are prescribed in their admit card.

MAT Result 2024

Applicants can check and download the exam results from the AIMA website (https://mat.aima.in/). The marks obtained in this exam are valid for one year.
