For a junior research fellowship, the candidate should not be of more than 31 years. However, there are no age restrictions to apply for the post of Assistant professor. Candidates who fall under the reserved category will get an age relaxation of five years.
UGC NET is an online examination of 3 hours where the candidates have to answer 150 questions. There would be 2 sections in the question paper. The first section is common for every candidate but the second section of the examination is based on selected subjects. The first section is about teaching & research aptitude. There will be 50 questions in this section for 2 marks each. The second section of the examination is a Subject-specific section of the question.
