UGC NET stands for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. The National Testing Agency conducts the UGC NET Exam 2024 twice a year on the national level.

Candidates must choose any subject from the 83 available subjects at one time. Candidates can appear for a single exam.

UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2024

Firstly, read the eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. Applicants who are found ineligible will not be considered for further examination.

Age Limit

  • JRF –Candidates must not be more than 30 years.
  • Assistant Professor –No Age Foundation.

Age Relaxation

  • For female candidates: 5 years
  • For SC/ST/OBC: 5 years

Qualification Criteria

  • The candidates should have completed a master’s with 55% marks in the relevant subject.
  • The reserved category has been provided a relaxation of 5% marks.
