Basic Guideline of this Exam
- Mode of Exam: The KVPY Aptitude Test will be conducted offline (pen-paper-based).
- Type of Questions: Multiple choice types of questions will be asked in this exam
- Exam Duration: The exam will be 3 hours (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM).
- of Questions: 15 questions will be asked from each subject.
- Total Marks: The question paper will be 180 marks.
- Marking Scheme: For each correct response, 3 marks will be given to the candidates
- Negative Marking: Yes, there is a Negative marking also included. For an incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
- Subjects: All the questions comprised of PCMB subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics & Biology).
IISER 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Required Educational Qualification
- Candidates should have a 10+2 certificate or intermediate examination with a science stream in 2018 or 2024.
- Must secure marks equal to or above the cut-off percentage in their respective boards.
- Cut-off percentage marks are 55% in the 10+2 level for all boards for SC/ST/KM category candidates.
- A 5% relaxation will be given to those in the OBC-NC & PwD category.
JEE Advanced Stream:
One needs to JEE Advanced exam & they have to secure a rank within 10000 in CRL (Common Rank List) for the OBC-NC/SC/ST/PwD category.
Nationality:
Candidates who belong to Indian National, PIO & OCI are eligible to apply.
KVPY Stream:
Candidates have a valid KVPY scholarship commencing from the 2024-2024 session.
