The XAT Exam 2025 is a national-level management entrance examination to get admission into various MBA and PGDM programmes. It is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur once a year.

The notification of this exam is yet to be released on its official website, so to get updated information regarding notification and exam dates, you must visit XAT official website.

Recently, Essay Writing was reintroduced for the first time. It will appear as a section in Part 2 of the paper. However, the important thing is that the score of Essay Writing was not taken into consideration at the time of score calculation.

It was only analyzed at the time of shortlisting for the Personal Interview round. Apart from XLRI and 10 other XAMI member colleges, over 1,000 B-schools accept XAT scores for their admission process for their post-graduate management programs.

XAT Exam Pattern and Test Structure

The XAT exam 2025 is going to be in online mode and the question paper consists of 100 MCQs. That is to be solved in 210 minutes.

 

However, the XAT exam pattern was also revised in 2022 and essay writing was reintroduced the time duration was also increased for it which is of 10 minutes. There is no sectional time limit for the XAT exam 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. 3 years Bachelor’s Degree. Also one can apply if he/she is in the last year of their UG. This means that Candidates must need to have held a bachelor’s degree of a minimum of three years duration or equivalent in any discipline from a government-recognized university.
  2. Students in their final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply.
  3. There are no minimum marks criteria for the XAT exam application.
  4. Working professionals and candidates with professional degrees can also apply for this exam.

  • A unique XAT ID with a registration link is shared with the candidate on the verified email ID
  • To verify your registered information, click on the received link

  • Enter your registered email ID and password to open the application form for the further process.
  • Fill in all the mandatory fields of the XAT 2025 application form as demanded.
  • Double-check the entered information clicking on submit button.
  • Pay on XAT 2025 application fee through credit/debit card, UPI, or net banking.

Payment of Fees

  • 2100 is XAT registration fee
  • For XLRI programmes, Candidates must pay an additional fee of Rs. 200/- each.
  • Indian candidates can apply through GMAT/GRE for PGDM (GM).
  • Foreign national/NRI can apply for this exam via GMAT. Note that GRE scores are only valid for PGDM(GM).
  • For PGDM (GM) via GMAT/GRE: Rs. 2500
  • For NRI/Foreign students: Rs. 5000 through GMAT.

XAT Admit Card 2025

To download the admit card you need to follow the specified steps;

  • Visit the XAT official website i.e., https://xatonline.in/
  • Click on the ‘Download admit card’ tab
  • Enter your registered details like User ID and date of birth
  • After that, hit the “Login” button
  • Hit the admit card tab, download the pdf available there and take a printout for future use.

Answer Key

The preliminary XAT exam answer key will also be released in the form of a response sheet within two to three days of the examination happened and the final answer key will also be released by the second week of January itself, after analysis of all the objections raised by students for the recheck.

Candidates will be able to download their XAT 2025 response sheets as well as answer key from the exam website by using their login ID and password after the exam commences.
