Qualifying for an AIIMS MBBS exam is the best way to get direct admission to the topmost medical colleges. Students can occupy their seats in the AIIMS colleges just by qualifying for the AIIMS MBBS examination. Till 2018, this was called an AIIMS MBBS examination, but currently, its name is NEET. This is an online test of 150 multiple-choice questions. Candidates can take admission in any AIIMS college across the country. The National Testing Agency itself conducts this examination across the country.
The main criteria to apply for the AIIMS MBBS examination is that the candidate should be an Indian citizen. Apart from this, it is important to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in the 12 standards. Candidates of the General, PwD SC/ST category should have scored 50%, 45%, and 40% marks in intermediate to apply for this examination. The candidate should be more than 17 years of age in the year in which he is appearing in the examination. Authorities can anytime dismiss you to take the examination if you are found violating any eligibility criteria.
AIIMS MBBS examination is a computer-based online test of 200 questions. Students will get a total of 210 minutes to complete the examination. Also, it is important to know that there is a negative marking of one-third of marks for every incorrect answer. So, there is no scope to guess if you don’t know the correct answer. There will be 2 shifts for the AIIMS MBBS examination i.e., morning and evening. You can check your examination shift and center once the National Testing agency releases the admit card. Students can download the admit card from the official website of NTA.
