Basic Guidelines

  • Question Type- All questions will be of objective type only
  • Subjects- Questions will be asked from Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry at the Intermediate level in this exam.
  • Language- Test will be in English language only
  • A total number of questions- 200 questions will be asked in this exam.
  • Negative Marking – There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

TNEA 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Process then it is advised to all of them that they must fulfill all eligibility norms as follows.

Age Criteria:
  • The minimum age of the candidate is 18 years are required to apply for this exam
  • The upper age limit of the applicants should not exceed 25 years.
  • There will be upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per the rules of the university.
Educational Criteria:


  • 10+2 pass certificate with at least 50% marks (45% marks for OBC category and 40% marks for SC, ST, SCA, MBC, and DNC category candidates) to be a part of this entrance test Needed. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
Domicile criteria


  • Required 10+2 exam certificates from Tamil Nadu state are eligible to apply
  • Candidates must be residents of Tamil Nadu state who have completed their 10+2 examination from TN state are also eligible to apply, such candidates will have to produce a valid birth certificate during the admission process.
  • Those who do not belong to Tamil Nadu but have completed their 10+2 examination from the state can apply for admission.
  • Children of Central Government employees can apply for the admission process for which the guardian/parents are serving in the state of Tamil Nadu continuously for the last 5 years.
  • Children of All India Services Tamil Nadu cadre officers are also eligible to apply for TNEA 2023.

TNEA Application Fee 2023
