JEE Advanced Exam 2025: Dates, Eligibility, & Syllabus

JEE Advanced Exam 2025 notification will be released soon by the IIT Bombay. To appear for this exam, one must qualify for the JEE Main which is a step one to get into IITs.

The exam consists of two papers, Paper I and Paper II. It is conducted once a year to get admission into various courses in the IITs, such as Science, Engineering, and Architecture.

JEE Advanced 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Certain eligibility criteria must be followed before filling out an online application for JEE Advanced 2025. The eligibility criteria and other important instructions are in the section below.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates appeared for class 12th or equivalent examination for the first time in 2023 or 2024 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects.
  • Students who had appeared in class 12 or equivalent for the first time in 2022 or earlier cannot appear in this exam.

 

Performance in JEE Main 2025

To apply for the JEE Advance Exam, candidates must be among the top 2 50,000 successful candidates, including all categories, in the BE/B.Tech paper of JEE (Main) 2025.

 

Age Limit

Those willing to apply for this exam and belong to the general category should not be born on or after 1st October 1999. SC, ST, and PWD candidates will get 5 years of relaxation and have been born on or after October 1, 1994.

 

Number Of Attempts

A student can attempt JEE (Advanced) at least twice in two consecutive years.

 

First admission to IIT

One should not be admitted to an IIT, irrespective of whether the candidate has continued with the program or has accepted an IIT seat. Those admissions to IIT who were canceled after joining any IIT are also not eligible to appear.

Colleges Accepting JEE Advanced Score

The JEE advanced exam is the most important exam for aspiring engineering students. It is a national-level entrance exam for admissions into the IITs.

JEE advanced exam is the qualifying exam for admission to the B. Tech Program in all IITs. Aspirants who score above the required marks are eligible for admission. The JEE Advanced qualifying exam is common for admission to all undergraduate-level programs offered by the IITs.

All other IITs also accept the JEE Advanced qualifying exam score for admission to their postgraduate level M. Tech Programmes.
