Admission Procedure for AKGEC 

The admission for B.Tech. programs are done in two ways at AKGEC, that are:- 

1. Direct admission based on JEE (Main) score, XII percentage, test results from AKGEC, and interview performance.
2. Through Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC), depending on JEE (Mains) Score. Registration for Direct Admissions can be completed via the akgec.ac.in/ admissions page. At the AKTU level, registration for UPTAC counseling is conducted.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Getting Admission at AKGEC 

1. B.Tech 1st year (Direct Admission) 

To get admission to B.Tech. 1st year 

• Students must pass an intermediate exam along with the mandatory subjects- Physics and Mathematics. 
• Along with 12th Science (PCM), which scored 65% or higher.

 

2. B.Tech 2nd year- Lateral Entry (Direct Admission)

Applicants who want to get admission to BTech 2nd year- Lateral Entry: 

• Either must have passed a 3-year diploma (with an aggregate score of 75% or higher) or a 3-year B.Sc. degree (with an aggregate score of 60% or higher) 
• Must have passed 12th standard with a mandatory subject, mathematics.

 

3. M.Tech 1st year (Direct Admission)

Completed and successfully passed B.E./ B.Tech in a related engineering field and must have scored at least 60%. 

 

4. MCA 1st year (Direct Admission)

Passed B.A./ B.Com/ BCA or B. Sc for at least 3 years and mathematics as a core subject in class 12th.

Admission Process 

1. B.Tech 1st year/ B.Pharmaa 1st year (Direct Admission)

Admission Procedure 

ABES Engineering College offers UG and PG programs through 10 departments, totaling 14 courses. It offers one undergraduate program, BTech, with eight separate concentrations, three postgraduate programs, MCA, MBA, and MTech, and lateral entry into the BTech program. The college’s courses are NBA-accredited, and the institute is NAAC-accredited and AICTE-approved.

1. BTech- 1st year

• Students must complete and pass their 12th, along with any of the following subjects: business studies, entrepreneurship, physics, chemistry, mathematics, biotechnology, computer science, electronics, engineering graphics, agriculture, informatics practices, technical vocational subjects and biology. 
• Must have scored a minimum of 45% marks/ 40% marks for students from the SC/ST category in subjects mentioned above. 
• Other than the above eligibility, students who have passed the D.Voc. Course are also eligible in the same sectors. 

 

2. B.Tech- Lateral Entry

• Must have passed a 3-year or 2-year Diploma in a relevant field with a minimum score of 45%, and for the reserved category, it will be 40%. 

• Or have a completed B.Sc. degree from a well-known university, and it is mandatory that UGC define it with a minimum of 45%. Meanwhile, for the SC/ST category students, it will be 40%. 

 

3. M.Tech- 1st year 

• Students who want to apply for the M.Tech 1st year should fulfill the eligibility criteria, i.e., they must have passed a Bachelor’s degree or a relevant degree with a minimum of 50%. For SC/ST category students, it will be 45%. 

 

4. MCA- 1st year 

• Applicants must have passed in any of the graduation degrees (BCA, B.E, B.Tech, etc.) and the most preferred core subject- mathematics is required in either 12th or graduation level. 
• Must have scored a minimum of 50% marks, whereas, for reserved category applicants, 45% is required.
