National Law University is one of the best law universities in the country, established in 2008. This university is well-known for its civil society workers, lawyers, experts, entrepreneurs, and researchers.

Eligibility Criteria

To get admission into this college, students need to fulfil some basic eligibility criteria:

  • Students must have passed 12th from a recognized board.
  • They have obtained at least 50% marks in the 10+2 exams.
  • Applicants should also appear and qualify for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET).

Admission Process

To become eligible for admission, go through the below-mentioned points:

 

  • Applicants should secure at least 40% of the total marks in the AILET. However, 30% of marks are required for SC and ST students.
  • 30% of the seat is reserved by eligible horizontal reservation for women aspirants, including those from foreign national categories.
  • Eighty seats are available for Five-year Integrated BA, LL.B. (Hons.) course. Out of these, ten seats are reserved for Foreign students.

The entrance exam fee is prescribed below:

Note: At the beginning of each semester, the mess advance of Rs.21,000/- will be deposited by each applicant. This fee is adjusted against monthly mess charges on a factual basis.

Foreign Nationals: The annual tuition fee is equivalent to 5,000 US Dollars for applicants from SAARC countries. Students who are from other countries have to pay 10,000 US Dollars. Besides, other fees will be the same, just like Indian students.

The students will also pay a mess advance of INR 21000.00 per semester. However, this amount will be adjusted per the actual expenses of the Hostel Mess. After reviewing the expenses on the advice of the Mess Committee, the amount may be increased.

Placement Process: NLU Delhi 

Every year, the placements at National Law University Delhi start in April-May. The top recruiters visit the college campus and recruit applicants per their legal aptitude and academic profile. Each institute has its own ‘Placement Committee’ that conducts the whole campus placement process. Further, the placement and recruitment at NLUs are done through three processes:

Pre-Placement Talks 

  • To know about the profile of the recruiting companies, compensation packages etc., candidates participate in the program.

Pre-Interview Screening Process 

  • For group discussions, applicants participate in pre-interview
  • As per their policy, recruiters choose the right students.
  • The experience letters are forwarded to the recruiters.
