BCECE Exam 2026 is India’s popular state-level entrance exam. Through this exam, students get admission into various undergraduate Pharmacy, Agriculture, and Health Science courses (and vacant Engineering seats) offered by different government and private institutions.

The exam is conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board once a year. The notification of this exam will be released soon on its official website, and it will be conducted in June/July 2026 (Tentatively).

Syllabus

For the BCECE exam, the syllabus will be based on Class 11th and 12th. Check the topics prescribed below:

  • Physics: Energy and power, motion of system of particles and rigid body, gravitation, properties of bulk matter, heat and thermodynamics, oscillations and waves, Physical world and measurement, kinematics, laws of motion, work, electrostatics, current electricity, electronic devices.
  • Chemistry: Chemical bonding and molecular structure, states of matter, thermodynamics, equilibrium, redox reactions, Some basic concepts of chemistry, structure of atom, classification of elements and periodicity in properties, hydrogen, solutions, chemical kinetics.
  • Mathematics: Algebra, coordinate geometry, calculus, mathematical reasoning, statistics & probability, sequence and series, Sets, relation & functions, trigonometric function, Integral calculus, Application of Binomial Theorem, Continuity & Differentiability.
  • Biology: Plant physiology, human physiology, sexual reproduction, genetics and evolution, ecology & environment, Diversity in the living world, structural organization in animals and plants, cells, biotechnology, and its applications.

Exam Pattern

  • Exam Mode: Offline (Pen & Paper)
  • Question: Each paper contains 100 questions.
  • Exam Duration: 90 minutes (each paper)
  • Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Eligibility Criteria

For Engineering Courses (Vacant Seats Only):

  • Qualification: Passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from any recognized board.
  • Subject: Must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • Marks: Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates) to be eligible.
  • Note: Primary admission to Bihar Govt Engineering colleges is via JEE Main. BCECE is only for remaining seats.

For Pharmacy & Agriculture Courses:

  • Qualification: 12th pass or equivalent from any recognized board.
  • Age Limit: To appear in the exam, aspirants must be at least 17 years old as of 31st Dec 2026.
  • Marks: Must have secured at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates) to be eligible for admission.
  • Subject: To be eligible, students must have PCM/PCB/CBA stream in the qualifying examination.

How to Apply for the BCECE exam?

Follow the given steps to fill out the application form:

  1. Visit the BCECE official website, i.e., https://bceceboard.bihar.gov.in/
  2. Register yourself by entering your name, date of birth, phone number, etc.
  3. After registration, fill out the application form with personal and educational details.
  4. Now, upload a scanned photograph and signature.
  5. Next, pay the fee both online or offline.
  6. Once submitted, print out the form for further usage.

Admit Card

The admit card for the BCECE Exam will be released before the commencement of the exam on the official website. Those who have registered for the exam and will take it can then download their admit card. The Admit Card is an important document that contains various instructions and details regarding the candidates and the exam.

Result

The university will release the result a few weeks after completing the entrance exam. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination authority will release the results for every exam. Appeared candidates can download their results from the organization’s official website.

Important Note: The authority will not personally send the result to the students through post or any other offline mode. To get the result, candidates must log on to the authority’s website to download their results.
