RRB ALP stands for Railway recruitment board Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician. The railway recruitment board (RRB) itself conducts this examination in India to recruit assistant loco pilots and technicians for different railway zones. This exam is conducted for the entire nation but the vacancies are separately distributed among different zones. RRB ALP Technician examination is conducted in multiple languages. The first stage of the examination is the screening examination. The candidates who will qualify at this stage will be only considered for the further process.
The second stage of the examination is divided into two parts i.e. Part A and Part B. The Part A marks are considered for the preparing merit list and Part B is the qualifying exam. In both Part A and B papers, (one-third) marks will be deducted for wrong answers.
Before filling the registration, form candidates should first read the eligibility criteria as if the candidates will not meet the eligibility criteria and then, he/she will fill the form then those forms will be not considered for the further recruitment process.
Nationality – The candidates must hold the citizen of India or must be the subject of Nepal, and Bhutan.
Age Limit – The candidate’s age must be of 18 to 28 years.
Age Relaxation – The candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC, and PWD category candidates must be given age relaxation of 5, 3, and 10 years, respectively.
Assistant Loco Pilot – The candidates should have matriculation / SSLC plus ITI / Course completed ACT apprentices OR Diploma/degree in engineering.
For Technicians – The candidates should have matriculation / SSLC plus ITI / Course completed ACT apprentices OR must have passed 12th with Physics and Maths OR should have a Diploma in engineering.

There would be four phases of the RRB ALP Technician examination. The first two rounds would be a computer-based test where the candidates have to answer multiple-choice type questions. The third stage is a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) and the final stage is Document Verification.
