RRB ALP stands for Railway Recruitment Board Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts this examination in India to recruit assistant loco pilots and technicians for different railway zones. This exam is conducted for the entire nation, but the vacancies are separately distributed among different zones. RRB ALP Technician examination is conducted in multiple languages. The eligibility criteria for the RRB ALP Technician post are as follows. Candidates must be Indian citizens aged 18 to 28 years. If the candidates exceed the allowed age limit, authorities will not allow them to sit in the examination. The first stage of the examination is the screening examination. The candidates who qualify at this stage will only be considered for the further process.
The second stage of the examination is divided into two parts, i.e. Part A and Part B. Part A marks are considered for the preparing merit list, and Part B is the qualifying exam. In Part A and B papers, (one-third) marks will be deducted for wrong answers.
Candidates should read the eligibility criteria before filling out the registration form. If the candidates do not meet the eligibility criteria and then he/she will fill out the form, the forms will not be considered for the further recruitment process.
Nationality – The candidates must be citizens of India or must be the subjects of Nepal and Bhutan.
Age Limit – The candidate must be 18 to 28 years old.
Age Relaxation – The candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC, and PWD category candidates must be given age relaxation of 5, 3, and 10 years, respectively.
Assistant Loco Pilot – The candidates should have matriculation / SSLC plus ITI / Course completed ACT apprentices OR Diploma/degree in engineering.
For Technicians – The candidates should have matriculation / SSLC plus ITI / Course completed ACT apprentices OR must have passed 12th with Physics and Maths OR should have a Diploma in Engineering.

There would be four phases of the RRB ALP Technician examination. The first two rounds would be a computer-based test where the candidates must answer multiple-choice questions. The third stage is a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) and the final stage is Document Verification. Candidates can check the results on their regional websites to see whether they have qualified for the examination.
The first stage of the RRB ALP Technician examination has 75 questions from different subjects. Students can visit the RRB website to see the complete syllabus for each stage. The aspirants will get 60 minutes to complete the first stage of this examination. The second stage is a computer-based test with a higher difficulty level.
