RRB NTPC - Important Dates, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern, Syllabus

Railway Recruitment Board Non-Technical Popular Categories  (RRB NTPC) recruitment  is done for graduates and it is organized by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). RRB NTPC examination includes Stage 1 test, Stage 2 test, Skill Test, Aptitude Test, and Document Verification. Last year NTPC includes the following posts - Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Assistant, Senior Clerk cum Typer, Junior Account Assistant cum Typer, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice, and Station Master.

RRB NTPC 2020

The candidates who qualify the stage 1 CBT by obtaining the minimum qualifying marks those will be called for the stage 2 CBT and then after conduction of this examination merit list is formed, equal to 15 times of vacancies, selected candidates are and called for the typing/skill test and aptitude test (based on the applied post).

RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the application form do first read the eligibility norms as if you later found ineligible then you will be not permitted to appear for the examination and you will be not considered for the recruitment process.

Age Limit - 18 top 32 years

Upper Age Limit - The candidates belonging from OBC and SC/ST category are given 3 and 5 years of relaxation, respectively.

Education Qualification -

  • The candidates must have done graduation from the recognized university/college.
  • The candidates applied for the post of Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist (JAA), Senior Clerk cum Typist (SCT), Senior Time Keeper should have typing ability in English / Hindi.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern

The candidates should have an idea of the Exam Pattern as if the one will don’t know about the examination pattern then he/she will be not able to do the preparation in an effective way. From below check the exam pattern

First Stage CBT

  • Duration of exam – 90 minutes and PWD candidates will be given 120 minutes
  • Examination Mode - Computer Based Examination (CBT)
  • Question Types - Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Negative Marking - For each wrong answer one third marks will be deducted.
  • Examination Language - English, Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, konkani, Odia, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri, Malayalam, and Urdu.
