AIIMS MBBS 2026-27: NEET UG Eligibility, Syllabus, Cutoffs & Admission

Qualifying for an AIIMS MBBS through NEET UG is the best way to get direct admission to the top medical colleges. Students can occupy their seats in the AIIMS colleges just by qualifying for the NEET UG examination. Till 2018, this was called an AIIMS MBBS examination, but since 2020, admissions are centralized through NEET UG, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This is a computer-based test of 180 multiple-choice questions. Candidates can get admitted to any AIIMS college across the country. The National Testing Agency itself conducts this examination across the country.

Eligibility

The main criteria to apply for the AIIMS MBBS via NEET UG is that the candidate should be an Indian citizen, NRI, OCI, PIO, or foreign national. Apart from this, it is important to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English in the Class 12 standards. General/EWS: 50%, SC/ST/OBC/PwD: 40% (UR-PwD: 45%) aggregate in PCB+English in Class 12 to apply for this examination. The candidate should be minimum 17 years by December 31 of the exam year (e.g., 2026 for NEET 2026). No upper age limit. Syllabus

AIIMS MBBS 2026-27 Syllabus (via NEET UG): MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Different institutes and universities which are affiliated are the ones from which the students can take education. Candidates are advised to follow the online instructions that will be required when they appear for the NEET UG examination. Application Process

AIIMS MBBS 2026-27 Application Process: Online via neet.nta.nic.in. Tentative NEET UG 2027 dates: Notification Jan-Feb 2027, Registration Feb-Mar 2027, Exam first Sunday May 2027 (2-5 PM); confirm on neet.nta.nic.in. Steps:

  1. Register on neet.nta.nic.in with email/mobile.
  2. Fill form, upload photo/signature (specs: 10-200KB).
  3. Pay fee (₹1700 General/OBC, ₹1600 SC/ST, ₹100 PwD; via net banking/card/UPI).
  4. Choose language/centers, submit.

Post-exam: Download admit card, appear, check result, participate in MCC counselling (15% AIQ, 85% institute quota). Documents: Class 10/12 marksheets, ID proof, category certificate.
