Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Dental Surgery Course

To be eligible to apply for a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, a candidate must have passed the 12th grade with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board. In addition, the candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized institution with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects.   • Interested candidates must attain the age of 17 years or more as of 30-12-2019. Age will be determined as per admission in Matriculation/ Higher Secondary or its equivalent certificate.
  • Must have passed Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) or equivalent examination of Board of School Education Haryana with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of Physics, Chemistry Must have passed in Biology and English individually in the qualifying examination.
  • The marks obtained should be read as 40% instead of 50% in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates. Note:
  • Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from National Open School will be eligible provided they fulfill the conditions laid down in ii) above.
  • Diploma in Pharmacy and Dresser course is not equivalent to 10+2 for the purpose of admission in BDS course.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is an undergraduate dentistry program that allows students to study clinical dentistry. It takes four or five years to complete, depending on the institution. Application process
