Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research is one of the oldest institutes in the field of education. The college was established in 1977 under the aegis of S.P. Mandali Trust.
It has two campuses, namely Bengaluru and Mumbai. The main vision of this institute is to promote leaders’ and practitioners’ thoughts through innovative education.
The NBA accredits PLNWIMDR Mumbai and has been approved by AICTE. However, it is an autonomous institute affiliated with the University of Mumbai.

Admission Process
Full-time program
To get admission into this course, applicants must have passed a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% from a recognized University. They also appear and qualify for the entrance exam. The exam accepted by the institute includes CMAT, ATMA, GMAT, XAT, and CAT. The fee for all such courses is around Rs. 6, 50,000/- p.a.
Fees Structure
Executive Programme
The total fee is 7 lakhs, along with GST for 11 months. This entire amount is paid at the time of admission. Selection for this course is based on a Personal Interview round.
Courses Offered
The college offers management programs in different modes. This can be part-time, executive, full-time, distance learning in management, and other streams.
- The popular program of this college is PGDM, as it offers courses across various specializations such as Human Resources, Finance, and Management.
- Besides, it offers MMS as a 2-year full-time Master’s degree course.

PGDM courses are popular among MBA students in Bangalore. The e-Business PGDM course is for digital marketing followers from IT and non-IT backgrounds. It is a two-year full-time program. The third course offered at WeSchool in Bangalore is PGDM in business design and innovation. However, this two-year full-time course provides applicants with the ability to invent neutral and human-centered approaches for a designer.
