Other DetailsThe AEEE Exam 2026 stands for Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination. This is one of the most precious engineering entrance exams for admission to all BTech programmes across Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s eight campuses, including the newer hubs in Faridabad and Haridwar. As we navigate the 2026-2027 admissions cycle, staying updated with the latest changes is critical for your success.
The exam is conducted in two phases to give you the best chance at success. Phase 1 was successfully held in late January 2026, and Phase 2 is now confirmed for April 24th to April 30th, 2026. The final deadline to apply for this examination is April 15, 2026.
It is a computer-based entrance test conducted by the university, which also offers admission based on JEE Mains (which fills 30% of our seats), SAT, and PUEE scores. Revised Syllabus & New Section
To secure a top rank in the AEEE 2026 upcoming exam, you must focus on the core PCM subjects and the newly introduced Quantitative Aptitude section. We have updated the subject-wise breakdown for you below:
- Mathematics (40 Questions): Matrices and Determinants, Trigonometry, Probability, Differential and Integral Calculus, Vector Algebra, and 3D Geometry.
- Physics (25 Questions): Units and dimensions, Mechanics, Heat and Thermodynamics, Ray and Wave Optics, and Modern Physics.
- Chemistry (20 Questions): Chemical Bonding, Coordination compounds, Electrochemistry, Thermodynamics, and Organic functional groups.
- Quantitative Aptitude (10 Questions): This new section tests your logical reasoning, data interpretation, and mental ability—essential for modern engineering.
- English (5 Questions): Synonyms, Antonyms, Articles, and Sentence Correction.
2026 Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme
Follow the updated marks distribution to strategize your attempt. Our marking scheme remains: +3 for every correct answer and -1 for every wrong response.

The “Best of Two” & Tie-Breaking Policy
If you appear for both Phase 1 and Phase 2, we will consider your highest percentile score for the final ranking. In the event of a tie, the rank is decided in this order: Maths Score > Physics Score > Chemistry Score > Age (Older candidate preferred).
Eligibility Criteria (2026-27)
- Qualification: Passed 10+2 Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Marks Requirement: Minimum 60% aggregate in PCM and not less than 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics individually.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after July 1, 2005.
- Appearing: Those appearing in their final 12th exams in 2026 are encouraged to apply.
Application Procedure
To complete an application form, students must follow the mentioned step-by-step instructions:
Step 1: Registration
- Go to the AEEE official website at aeee.amrita.edu.
- Enter basic details like your name, email, and mobile number to receive an OTP.
- After successful sign-in, students will gain access to the Amrita Online Admissions Portal (AOAP).
Step 2: Fill Out the Application Form
- Log in to enter your personal, contact, and academic details (HSC/+2 state and school details).
- Select your preferred admission channel (AEEE 2026, JEE Mains 2026, or both).
- Ensure you choose 3 cities for your exam center preference as this is mandatory.
- Make sure you’ve entered all information correctly before clicking “Submit”.
Step 3: Upload Documents
- You must upload a clear scanned photograph and signature in digital format.
- Ensure the photo is clear to avoid application rejection after fee payment.
- Once done, click the “Proceed for Payment” option.
Step 4: Pay the Application Fees
- Fees can be deposited online via credit card, debit card, or internet banking.
- Note: Payment through demand draft or money order is no longer accepted for online applications.
Step 5: Submission of Form
- You must submit the form on or before the last date of April 15, 2026 for Phase 2.
- Take a printout of the filled form for future reference during the counseling process.

Applying for Amrita is now more streamlined. You must use the Amrita Online Admissions Portal (AOAP) for both registration and the critical slot booking phase.

- Fill Form: Enter your personal and academic details. Ensure your campus preferences (Coimbatore, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Amaravati, Nagercoil, Haridwar, or Faridabad) are correct.

- Payment: The revised application fee for 2026 is ₹1300.

5. “Is it true that I have to pick my own exam date?”

6. “Which campus is better for placements? Coimbatore or Bengaluru?”
