National Testing Agency conducts CSIR UGC NET twice in a year. This exam is conducted to hire the candidates for the post of Assistance Professor (Lecturer) and the candidates who want to do Junior Research Fellowship can also apply for this examination. CSIR UGC NET Eligibility Criteria

Before taking the any steps first do check the eligibility norms as if one will not meet the eligibility norm,s those will be not considered for the recruitment process. From below read the detailed eligibility criteria.

Nationality: Candidates should have Indian Citizenship.

Age Limit

  • JRF NET - The maximum age of the candidates must be 28 years as on 01-01-2020.
  • Lectureship (LS) NET - No upper age limit

Age Relaxation

  • The OBC candidates will be given 5 years of age relaxation
  • The SC/ST/PWD and female category candidates will be given 3 years of relaxation.

Education Qualification

The candidates must have M.Sc / Integrated BS-MS / BS-4 years / BE / B.Tech / BPharma / MBBS degree and the candidates belonging to General/OBC and  SC/ST/PWD category should have obtained 55% and 50%, respectively.

CSIR UGC NET Exam Pattern 2019

  • Examination Mode – Online (Computer Based Test)
  • Exam Duration – 3 hours (180 mins)
  • Examination Language – Hindi, English
  • Question type – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Sections – The test will consist of three parts (Part A, Part B, and Part C)

  • Part A and B: +2 points for each right answer and -0.5 for each wrong answer.
  • Part C: +4 points for each right answer and -1 for every wrong answer.
