BDS: Exam pattern, Eligibility Criteria, and Educational Qualification

Candidates who want to be graduate in dental science are requested to complete their 12th with good marks in the science subjects. Every science subject whether it be biology, chemistry and physics can easily get admission if they qualify the entrance examination. For that, first of all, the candidate must achieve 60% in their 12th and only then aspirants are eligible for the examination.  For BDS, the candidates are required to give NEET entrance exam only then they are eligible for the graduate degree. Eligible Criteria for BDS

Educational Qualification

  • Candidate Passing senior secondary examination with an aggregate score of 50% from a recognized board or equivalent examination. 
  • Candidates Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as subjects in their 11th and 12th class are only eligible for the entrance exam.
  • The applicants with senior secondary examination results awaited are welcomed to apply for this entrance examination.
  • After qualifying in the entrance exam candidates are also eligible for AICET BDS,  NEET, MU OET, DUMET, AIPMT and COMEDK.
  • In some of the universities the procedure might differ for the selection procedure.

Age Limit

  • The candidate should be 17 years of age to fill in the application form.
  • Applicants with reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST will be given reservation.
