NTA conducts CMAT (Common Admission Management Test) exams to offer admission in management courses. Candidates can apply for the CMAT exam if they are willing to do any management course in the future. There are more than 1000 certified colleges for MBA and PGDM in India where students can take admission to continue their higher studies. Students can only apply for this exam if they are in the final semester of the graduation course or after completing the graduation. Students can take lateral entry in the MBA-PGDM courses after qualifying for the CMAT examination with an average ranking. The National Testing Agency conducts this examination once a year and more than 5 lakhs of students appear for this examination every year. Students can fill up the CMAT application in November and will receive the admit card after mid of December every year. Also, it is important to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the CMAT examination. If you are found to be ineligible after applying for the examination then you will be terminated to appear for the exams. The candidate should be an Indian citizen to apply for this examination. This examination is conducted to select students for master’s courses. Hence, they should have completed graduation to apply for this examination. Candidates who are pursuing their graduation and are in their final semester can also apply for the CMAT examination.
The CMAT examination consists of 4 sections with 25 questions each. So, there will be a total of 100 questions in the examination. Each correct answer will reward you 4 marks however 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Candidates will get to see questions from Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Language Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness. There will be a time limit of 3 hours to submit the CMAT examination. If you are unable to complete your exam within the given time limit then it will inevitably get submitted.
