Biotechnology is a three-year full-time course that students can pursue after completing their 10th and 12th. Biotechnology Course 2023

The Biotechnology examination has 2 sections with a total of 65 questions. The total duration of the Biotechnology examination would be three hours. The first section is the general awareness section where the candidates have to answer 5 questions of 1 mark and 5 questions of 2 marks each. This section is of 15 marks. The second section is a subject-based section in which the students will get questions based on their selected subjects. There will be 25 questions of 1 mark and 30 questions of 2 marks. Eligibility Criteria for Biotechnology 2023

Apart from the exam pattern, students should also know about the eligibility criteria to apply for the Biotechnology entrance examination. The most important criteria are that the candidate should be an Indian citizen. Any person who is from another country is not eligible to apply for this examination. Also, candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in their 10th and 12th. Also, they have obtained an aggregate of 60% marks in (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). The candidate should be of 17 years of age to apply for the Biotechnology examination.

  • Candidates aspiring to pursue the course are required to meet the minimum eligibility aggregate score of 50% at both Higher Secondary and Senior Secondary (classes X and XII) levels.
  • For ST/SC or OBC aspirants are required to have at least 45% of the marks in each 45% of the science subjects.
  • Candidates must score 10+2 in their aggregate score of 60% of all three subjects.
  • The aspirant must have an age of min 17 years at the time of examination.
  • Physically challenged candidates are also under the reserved category.
