Important Exam Guidelines
Duration: 2.5 Hours (150 Minutes).
Medium: The test booklet is bilingual (English and Hindi).
Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
Qualifying Criteria: A candidate must score minimum qualifying marks in EACH of the four subjects independently. Failing in any one subject leads to disqualification, even if the total score is high.
JNVST Reservation Policy (Crucial)
Selection is heavily based on the category you apply under:
Rural Quota: At least 75% of seats are reserved for students from rural areas (Must have studied Class 3, 4, & 5 in a rural school).
Girl Students: 1/3rd (33%) of the seats are reserved for girls.
SC/ST: Reservation is provided in proportion to the population in the district (subject to a minimum of national average).
Divyang: 3% reservation for differently-abled candidates.
