REET 2026 Primary Level Class I to V Eligibility
Those who are going to apply for this exam must have a 10+2 (Intermediate) Exam certificate with 50% Marks with a Passed / Appearing 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
Students must have a 10+2 (Intermediate) Exam certificate with 50% Marks and B.E.l.Ed 4-Year Course OR
10+2 (Senior Secondary) Exam with 50% Marks and Diploma in Education (Spl) OR
One should obtain Bachelor’s Degree with 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education

Certificate Validity Update:Good news for aspirants! The REET Eligibility Certificate is now valid for a LIFETIME. Unlike the previous 3-year validity rule, once you clear REET, you do not need to take the exam again to remain eligible for teacher recruitment in Rajasthan.

Selection Process: REET vs. Mains (Crucial for New Aspirants)
Understanding the “Two-Exam” System:Many candidates confuse REET with the final recruitment. Here is the actual process for 2026:
Stage 1 (REET Eligibility): This is just a qualifying exam. Marks obtained here are NOT added to the final merit list. You just need to score 60% (90 Marks) to get the lifetime certificate.
Stage 2 (REET Mains / 3rd Grade Teacher Exam): Once you clear REET, you must appear for this separate competitive exam conducted by RSMSSB. The final merit list is based 100% on Mains marks.
Read Notification: Candidates are advised to thoroughly read the official notification before applying for REET Online Form 2026.
Document Checklist: Ensure you have all necessary documents ready, including eligibility proofs, ID proof, address details, and basic information.

⚠️ Critical Document Validity Rules (For OBC/EWS)
Don’t get rejected in Document Verification! Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) is strict about certificate dates:
OBC/EWS Certificate Validity: Your certificate must be valid for the current Financial Year of the application date.
The “3-Year Rule”: If your OBC/EWS certificate is old (up to 3 years), you must attach a specific Affidavit during verification. Certificates older than 3 years are NOT accepted.
Caste Certificate Date: Ideally, issue your certificate before the last date of the REET 2026 application form.

Is the REET Certificate valid for a lifetime?
Yes. As per the new government rules, the REET Eligibility Certificate is now valid for a lifetime. Once you clear the exam, you do not need to re-take it every 3 years to remain eligible for teacher recruitment.
What was the cut-off for REET Mains Level 1 in the last cycle?
In the previous recruitment cycle (2023), the final cut-off for the General (UR) category in REET Mains Level 1 was 186.91 Marks out of 300.
Is there negative marking in REET 2026?
It depends on the stage. There is NO negative marking in the REET Eligibility Test (Stage 1). However, the ‘Mains’ / 3rd Grade Teacher Recruitment Exam (Stage 2) has 1/3rd negative marking.
When will the REET 2026 Notification be released?
