General Intelligence:

General Awareness:

Would a plethora of topics be included in this section so students need to draw their attention toward these topics so that they can perform well in their upcoming examinations? Here are included questions of non–verbal type. There are included some of questions on similarities judgment, decision making, arithmetical number series, and differences, space visualization visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, problem-solving, analysis, non–verbal series etc. also include questions designed for candidate’s arithmetical computation and other many of analytical functions, abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship Questions will be designed to test the general awareness of the environment and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, Scientific Research, etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

Quantitative Aptitude:

The quantitative Aptitude paper will include several questions on problems relating to Fractions and the relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages,  Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals, Ratio and Proportion, Discount, Use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc. One needs to understand the Basics of the English Language, synonyms, antonyms, and their correct usage, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, etc. The candidate’s writing ability would be tested.

The scope of the test will be the computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentages, Ratios & Proportions, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discounts, Partnership Business, Mixture and Alligation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra & Elementary surds, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square base, Trigonometric ratio, Degree and Radian Measures, Standard Identities, Complementary angles, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie chart.

General Awareness:  All the questions of General Awareness are designed to test the general awareness about the environment and its application in society. The questions will be designed to test knowledge of contemporary events and also to test everyday observations and experiences in their scientific aspect as can be expected of an educated person. Basic Guidelines

  • The SSC Phase 9 Exam will be of three different CBT MCQ types.
  • The exam will consist of 100 questions carrying 02 marks for each question.
  • The question paper of the SSC Phase 9 Exam will be based on the minimum educational qualification of Matriculation, Higher Secondary and Graduation, and above levels.
  • Exam Time Duration will be 01 Hour (60 Minutes)
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
